As you start to create a body of Public Art works, how will you document them? How will you present your work to Curators, Critics, Grant Committees, and others who want to learn about your oeuvre? In VPA198 we’ll create online Portfolios, Resumes & CV’s, and share them with each other for feedback.
Many Medici University learners have expressed a desire to see the University continue beyond the 30 June end date for Isabella Medici’s LEA23 land grant. Izzy’s LEA AiR LG (Linden Endowment for the Arts, Artist in Residence, Land Grant) is part of the “Round 8” series of LGs. Before the end of this round there will be a call for “Round 9 Proposals.” In VPA198 we’ll get a big head start by writing our own LG Proposals and sharing and critiquing them with each other. When the Round 9 call for proposals comes, VPA198 learners will have a great Proposal & Resume for the LEA AiR committee to consider. If we submit a few strong proposals, at least 1 will probably be selected and the adventure can continue. If we submit enough compelling proposals we might even be able to have 4 learners be awarded LGs, and we could have them border each other in a large (26 hectares! (1km x 1km)) archipelago!
